Letting Go

I have given this subject great thought as I could go in many directions, and also I will touch the many directions that it serves. I wonder where we all go wrong. There are many ways in this journey and I will be looking into them as I connect with the universe.

First of all there is the letting go of a relationship, it may be someone really close, as in a divorce that the person just doesn’t want to move away from your energy, or you hold on to the memory of what was the best times and not looking at the cracks that appeared many months, or even years before.

Will they return, will they want to resume the memories of the past, it’s all about clarifying the ground that you have travelled with them. By going back, I wonder if you actually began the journey again to whether it would all be better this time around, or whether the journey would end up the same as before, again the divorce trail would be there and you would have to learn to let go.

Letting go of the past actually allows you the freedom to move forward. It’s about gaining your own power again and not being needy of someone being there. Letting go, doesn’t mean forgiveness, it means leaving something that made you unhappy and taking a different path on your own, living the life you were meant to do, and being your own security.

Why do people hold onto the past, it’s because of the fear of having to walk life alone with no support, but the wrong person in your life is no support at all. Relationships are experiences, they all make us the person we end up being, if you want the wrong people feeling sorry for you then behave like a poor me character, I will guarantee that you will get all the bad energy people wanting to be part of your life.

Changing that and behaving as if the heavens have handed you everything, freedom, choices, new beginnings, a chance to do  exactly what you have wanted to do, but you have been held up by your own insecurities. When you take those rose tinted glasses off, you know the ones when you look at a past relationship and think it was a bed of roses and you have been left with nothing and life is a struggle, a new man or woman that wants to be part of your life but if you look deeper you can see that the person in front of you is using your vulnerability, a friend that wants and needs your attention, rather than being there for you.

Life is about enjoying and as soon as you let go of that man or woman that is not worth the energy you are giving them, as soon as you use your own intuitive feelings to see that the person in front of you is out for their own gain and you let them go, and lastly that friend that is envious of your very being and wants to be you, also wants to drain you of all your energy let them go.

Take a deep breath, how do you feel? Wonderful now you can move forward into the unknown territory of wonderment. Letting go is in the mind, and is all about the mind and cutting off. You have heard of the old saying cutting off the dead wood as you need to see through the trees, there is that light there. Well you will be doing just that. And your new life, your new journey begins with confidence.

The other way that we hold on is the death of someone that was a big part in our lives. How painful that is. We search for the reason that they have been taken from us, we get angry at who-ever we can focus that anger on, we look for some kind of support but people really do not know how to deal with death, or with the grieving person.

We live for the pain and the tears because how can we let go of someone that we loved so much, they may have had faults but that doesn’t matter, they are still in our hearts, and of course ours hearts are broken. Yes broken no matter what. Anger becomes acceptance, and acceptance can lead to guilt of not being totally there for them during their pain of dying, and of should we be happy while they are dead. We then come to realise after many tearful consultations with ourselves that we need to finally let go of this person we loved so much. With this, and with grieve there are no solutions, no time as each person finds their own way, in their own way and at their own time.

Letting go doesn’t mean that you are fixed, it just means you are learning to live with the pain of death, and in learning that you can move yourself to a different way of life. I will say life will never be the same after losing someone so close in death. It brings out the best in you if you allow yourself to grieve, cry, get angry and then to understand they haven’t gone, they are still there beside you sometimes, but they also have to grow in spirit and that’s the reason you have to let them go.

A feather, a smell, a warm embrace, a touch of your hand, playing with your hair and your face, a push, a shove all comes with spirit, all comes with love.

There is a big difference to letting go of a divorce, a painful childhood, and the friends with the energy that you really do not want. To a death of someone close. With divorce, a painful childhood, or memory and the energies of people you do not want to have around you, there is a strength you have to find as guaranteed it is still around niggling away at your mental well-being. Find help, get counselling so you can let go. A death of someone close is harder as they have gone forever and the pain is indescribable, if you need help with this journey find a special therapist and counsel your way through.

I hope the understanding of this article, is the understanding to let go, and to find your own freedom to begin to live your life how you want it to be, and not being restricted by pain, painful people and painful memories. Live for today, the moment and enjoy, the future is there and will bring surprises for sure.
